K.L Bernard, Noted Historian writes in his Book "History of Fort Cochin" , that 'this house was the residence of Vasco da Gama and stables on the ground floor were used for his officers horses' 

Vasco home stay is a unique heritage home stay facility,  with Bed and break fast in the heart of  Fort Cochin . The picturesque heritage village of Fort Cochin, was discovered by the Portuguese navigator Vasco Da Gama. The scenic beauty of this place and its charm will forever embed in your memory. This historic place has 400 years of continues European domination.

The Vasco House  is more than 500 years old and is believed to be the residence of VASCO DA GAMA till his death in 1524 on the Christmas eve. The rooms of the house are large with high wooden ceiling and large windows opening towards the historic St.Francis Church where Vasco Da Gama was buried. This home stay is run by Mr. Santosh Tom and his family.  The owners reside on the ground floor and run the Vasco Cafe and Vasco Tourist Information & Travels. We are accepting all major credit cards.
